What to put on a yard sign so people can read it
People read a yard sign from the street, usually from a moving car. That gives you a few seconds. Most signs I see try to say too much.
Stick to three things: your name, what you do and a phone number or website. Make the phone number big. Use dark text on a light background or the reverse, never two colors that fight each other. Leave empty space around the words.
