    Banners and large format

    What we make

    Vinyl banners

13oz vinyl, printed full color, hemmed with grommets. The everyday banner for storefronts, events and sales.

    Mesh banners for fences

Mesh lets wind pass through, so it hangs better on chain-link fences, scaffolding and job sites.

    Feather flags

Tall flags on a pole with a ground stake or a base. They move in the wind and catch eyes from the road.

    Grand opening banners

Big, bold and up for a few weeks. Pair one with a couple of feather flags out front.

    Double-sided banners

Printed on both sides with a blockout layer so nothing shows through. Good over a walkway or on a pole.

    Large format posters

Posters printed big for lobbies, windows, events and in-store promotions.

    Mounted prints and foam board

Posters mounted to rigid board so they stand on an easel or hang flat on a wall.

    Start small

Your first order can be a small one.

Everything here is custom, so try a short run first. See how it looks on the product, the truck or the wall. When it works, reorder bigger and the price per piece drops.

Vinyl or mesh: which banner do you need?

Vinyl is the default. 13oz vinyl is waterproof, prints sharp and holds grommets well. It's right for most banners on a building, a stage, a table or a fence that's out of the wind. A 3 x 6 ft vinyl banner, hemmed with grommets, starts at $39.

Mesh is vinyl full of tiny holes. Wind passes through instead of pulling on the grommets, so it's the right call on chain-link fences, scaffolding and anything hung up high. Contractors use it to wrap a job site fence. The print looks a little lighter up close, but from the street it reads the same.

Tell me where the banner hangs and how long it stays up. I'll match the material, the hems and the grommets to the spot.

Feather flags and grand opening banners that pull people in

Feather flags work because they move. A banner on the wall blends in after a few days. A flag waving by the road keeps catching eyes. Car lots, tire shops, cafes and new stores use them for exactly that reason.

For a grand opening, I'd pair one big vinyl banner on the building with two or three feather flags at the curb. The banner says who you are. The flags get drivers to look.

Flags go in the ground on a stake or sit on a base on pavement. Tell me which one your spot needs. And pull them inside when a storm rolls through. A hard Central Ohio wind can bend a pole.

Large format printing for posters, lobbies and events

Large format printing covers anything too big for a regular printer: posters, mounted prints, lobby graphics, event signs and window displays. It's the same idea as a banner, usually indoors and on paper, film or rigid board.

Posters work for in-store promos, event signs and office walls. Mount one on foam board and it stands on an easel at a check-in table or in a lobby. For full walls, windows and floors, see my wall and floor graphics and window graphics pages.

The thing that matters most with a big print is your file. A logo that looks fine on a business card can blur at 4 feet wide. Send what you have. I'll check it and tell you if it holds up before you approve the proof.

    Questions

    Banners and flags: common questions

How much does a custom vinyl banner cost?

A 3 x 6 ft vinyl banner on 13oz material, hemmed with grommets, starts at $39. Bigger sizes, double-sided printing and pole pockets add to the price. I'll quote your exact size within 24 hours.

What size banner should I get?

Measure the spot where it hangs, then go as big as it fits. 3 x 6 ft is a common size for storefronts and events. On a fence or the side of a building, bigger reads better from the road.

Are mesh banners better for fences?

For most outdoor fences, yes. Mesh lets wind through, so there's less strain on the grommets and the fence. Use regular vinyl indoors or anywhere out of the wind.

How long do outdoor vinyl banners last?

Outdoor vinyl handles rain, snow and sun. How long it lasts depends on wind, sun and how it's hung. Tight, even tension and enough grommets make the biggest difference.

Do feather flags come with a pole and base?

I quote feather flags with the pole and the right base for your spot. Tell me if the flag goes in grass or on pavement.

    What is large format printing?

It's printing anything bigger than a standard printer can handle, like posters, banners, mounted prints and backdrops. It prints on wide rolls of paper, vinyl or film, or on rigid board.

    Can you design my banner?

Yes. Send your logo and what it needs to say. I'll lay it out, and you approve a proof before it prints.
