Will printed letterhead work in my office printer?
Yes, when the paper is right. Most letterhead is printed in color ahead of time, then your letters print on top in your office laser or inkjet printer. The logo and footer are already there, and you type the letter as usual.
Tell me what printer you use. I'll pick a paper that feeds through it cleanly and leave enough margin for your printer to work around the design.
Keep the design simple. Logo at the top, contact info at the top or bottom, and plenty of white space. A letter that's hard to read because of the letterhead defeats the purpose.
Carbonless forms for work orders, estimates and invoices
Carbonless forms, also called NCR forms, make copies without carbon paper. Write on the top sheet and the copy appears on the sheets underneath. NCR stands for no carbon required.
Two-part forms give you a copy for you and one for the customer. Three-part forms add one for the office. The copies usually come in different colors, like white, yellow and pink, so everyone knows which copy is theirs.
Forms can be numbered in order so none go missing, and bound into books or sets that tear out cleanly.
